hmm, well I just downloaded the update and this translation bug is still there, exactly the same as described....

Although I'll try on a new file, but my old mxs from last week is still doing it.

Also, why when you change the pivot postion and rotation values with either a group or an object, it affects the translation values without moving the part?

eidt: I created a new file and it still does it:

http://npara.com/images/1.5.1-test.mxs

Steps:

Open file
select mx_bg group
click in the z axis rotate box and begin to mmb drag
the bg group snaps back to 0,0,0 and this translation is not undoable. You have to reopen the file.

Steps to create this file:
Open a new mxs in studio.
Import any mxs file in which groups had been previously translated.
Try to rotate the imported groups

Same here. I got emitter planes jumping all over the place when I rotate or move them a certain way. Also I now cant drag an obect in the viewport without clicking on the arrow handles. It was nice the way it was where I could click off anywhere in the viewport and move. If it cant be put that way at least let us move the object by holding the mouse down on it and dragging.

Thanks,
Eric

I think it happens when I used objects from old scenes... however if thisis the case then evrything in that scene will also suffer from that problem...

Also what I notice is that when you move something with teh 3 coordinate arrow and then anothere object gets highlighted without you wanting it too..

very frustrating..can someone clear this up..

ie will old scenes still have that issue..?

thanks :)

This happened to me yesterday as well. I imported some OBJ files and tried to place them within a larger scene. changing the rotation cause the object to rotate out of view to somewhere behind the camera.
