So far have not been able to get a simple color map (a 2D bush) on a 2D plane to render in Maxwell. This could be a HUGE issue for us as we use those all the time!!!

OK, I'll try that. My images happen all to be TIF's, but not a major issue converting to RGB JPG's.

What about the 2D plane it's applied to, how do I get the 100% transparency like in FZ Renderzone?

Yikes!!! You mean everyone who currently is using Maxwell is using full 3D flowers, bushes and trees?

Juan, would you kindly give us an update on this issue of mapping 2D images (bushes, trees) on a transparent 2D plane?

Hi Josephus,

As Andy says, clipmaps (transparencies) do not work properly in your current version. We will release a absolutely more powerful version in two weeks. In this version clipmaps will work fine. Sorry for the inconveniences. I know you will love it.

Regards,

Juan

Thank you Juan....I can wait two weeks (I think) :D I am very pleased with what I'm able to do so far, and we are as they say here "blown away" by the user images.
