If you are having a problem with matching what you see in the formZ window with what Maxwell is rendering, make sure that your formZ window Zoom is set at 100%.

When you save a view in formZ this zoom setting is saved. However, the zoom setting cannot be changed in the View Parameters dialog. :?

Juan, it looks to me like this zoom setting is also not being transferred to MaxwellRender - I am not sure whether it is possible or even desirable given the real world camera paradigm of Maxwell.

Nice Mathew!! :D

I have tried to get this zoom but it seems it is not possible yet. I will continue investigating.

Juan,

Thanks for your quick response.

I have been using formZ for about ten years (it's my favorite modeller for arch viz projects) and I still don't quite understand why Autodesys implements this zoom feature in 3D perspective views the way they do.

What I'm saying is that the 3D perspective view zoom feature doesn't seem to give me anything that I can't accomplish better in some other way. So I guess I don't really feel like I need the feature to be implemented in Maxwell - it's just one of those things that can "bite ya in the butt" when you aren't paying attention and it could be a real frustration to someone that's not real familiar with formZ. :?

Thanks again,

Matthew

I'm having a real hard time getting the Maxwell view to match the FormZ view.....maybe it's something in the way I use the Navigate button in FormZ to set up my views.

Anyone give me any direction on this ?

you shoud set the current view to "perspective" and set the render resolution at the same size (or the same pixel ratio) as the resolution of the current view in the view property dialog. If you do both things you will adjust the view exactly. See the manual for detais, and please post any doubt you have.

Juan
