Hi,

i am rendering in 3000x2000 pixel but the image is still very small on my screen even though it says zoom 100%. why is that ?
the view in formZ fills up the whole screen but in maxwell it is just a small model in the center of the screen.
any ideas ?

Hi,

When Maxwell mxcl is launched, which resolution appears in the "console data tab" ? (you have to browse down a bit to read it) This is the resolution that formZ plugin sends to Maxwell. Lets see if there is some issue here.

Juan

it says 320x240 which is the default. that from some reason when i change it and click "render scene" it changes back to 320x240.
im going to try to reinstall.

Seems so weird. anyone has got this behavior? which version of formZ are you using? Are you working with a demo? are other parameters properly sent to maxwell? (for example is the render time or the sample level of the render the same that you put in the palette?

I'm working with the demo, but I never had this problem. In Win XP.

No, im working with Z full version 5.5 and with the beta of maxwell i just purchased a few days ago.
very strange, even after reinstall, the second i click "render scene" i can see the numbers change back to 320x240 and then all the calculations begin and i get a 320x240 image.
will try to reinstall formz aswell.

Hi jo,

so are there at least two people getting this issue?
If you put "-res:1280x1024" in the command line field of the maxwell palette, do you get 320x240?

No, no!
I was telling you that I've no problem, and I'm using Maxwell (last version) with fZ 5.5 demo on Win XP... It's ok, here
Never seen this problem...
I've other problems, plain color in shader and unpredictable result with mapping; but I'm sure you'll fix them

Sure! ;) This plugin is still young. Be sure we will continue adding enhancements and fixing bugs. Anyway when do you get plain color in shaders? Maxwell can not handle formZ procedural textures yet (for example a brick shader). You need to load real bitmap files to get it.
