Hello William,
This message means that the mxs have not been written. It could be for different reasons. The most probably is due to a corrupt geometry. Things you can do:
- In most cases the plugin writes a log file which shows which process have caused the error. Look for a file named "maxwellz.txt". It will be placed in the main folder of your main local drive. If you do not find the file make a search in your local folders. Open it and look at the last line. you will find something like:
Faults Method = writeMXS
error = Invalid Maxwell Data
value = 0
Post here your message. For example it means that some geometric values are not valid, for example triangles with null area or normal vectors with null values. Hide objects one by one in the formZ objects palette, and press the render button each time, you will find the guilty geometry easily. If you have too much objects in the scene to do it one by one, you can show/hide entire groups to make the search easily. You should notice that for example if you hide all the objects the render will be launch properly and you will see a void scene just with sky. If then you enable the visibility of the corrupt object and press render, maxwell will be launched fine and it will found the mxs file of the PREVIOUS test (the one just with the sky). So after each test delete the mxs file generated to be sure. Please if you do not understand anything just ask me.
For example the object named "object 52" of the scene "vitra museum" that you can download for free from formZ site causes this issue. We have developed methods to handle weird and corrupt geometries, in the next update you won't get this issues.
Best,
Juan
