Is there a library of materials i can use or do i have to define every material manually using the attributes editor?
Can i make my own library?
Can anyone give material suggestions?

Hi!
Would be good for newbies (such as myself) also to even have some reference to settings for various materials.
i.e. smooth plastic, rough plastic, glass, non-glossy wood, gloosy wood, brick etc.
this would also help me (and others?) to gain an idea how each setting effects the outcome.
Cheers
John

Hello,
I suggest you to take a look to the tutorials section of the forum:
http://www.maxwellrender.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=3536
You will find a lot of useful information about the parameters of the materials in the official manual. Actually there is not a library of presets of materials but it will be avalaible soon. Anyway in the gallery section people use to post the settings of the scenes, you will find a lot of useful info there too.
Regards,
Juan

Great!
I did look at the tutorial section but did not look in that sticky part.
All I saw was 7 replies. After weeks of looking around in all the forums I cannot believe I missed this. If you aske me some of these links really help sell the benefit of using Maxwell!
Thanks!
