I tried it with Rhino and it's pretty amazing. Is it possible with FormZ? If so, how?

you have to use clip hither/yon in view parameters and set them correctly (best interactively in edit view mode)...

I should have tried that....

Is it possible to have the rendering ignore the clipped geometry? For
example, if you're cutting through a 6-walled box, the rendering will be black.

If you clip the geometry you will still get the same lighting as if that geometry was still there, so it's not possible now.

A z-clip plane that is independent of camera and clips the geometry completely would be a boon for architectural/engineering section renderings.

Is that even a possibility with the way z-clip works in Maxwell?
