object update within studio

What exactly happens when a scene, created in FZ and textures applied in MWR studio, needs a small update for one object only? can the object be imported or will the whole scene have to be redone with textures? what exactly is the studio workflow like in this case?

If you choose grouping by object for the export options, you just export the object only, import into studio (under file: import to scene) and hide the old object. There is no auto update yet as far as I know.
It is easy but the workflow sucks. No other choice, unless you want to render with the beta version and the plugin. I am using mac so there is no new plugin yet, which supports RC5...

will the coordinates of that object match the previous coordinates, like importing in formz, so that the new object is positioned correctly? I am also on mac.
if I understand well, importing a new object involves reapplying textures?

Without the plugin, yes, new textures.
Coordinates stay the same as long as the original location of the scene in formZ hasn't changed. I tried severeal replacements and they replace at the same location.
