Little by little getting the idea of how this works. The image "cooked" for 9 hours and got up to a sampling level of 14, but no noticeable transparency in the window glass. Glass is 1/8" thick and absorbtion was set at 10% (.1). (I can not at the momemt access our ftp site to post image, but it's an exterior of a small house...will post if/when I can get it on the web).[/img]

...just getting acquainted w/Maxwell. I'll see if posting this image works. There are a couple of glitches in the model and I probably cranked the f/stop down too much (wanted to avoid the very bright daylight image)...it shows up quite blue on my Sony rgb monitor but very nice on my laptop screen (drives me crazy the lack of consistency between monitors).

adehus, you're just a wealth of helpful info, thx for helping me get the pic uploaded. Well, it seems like all kinds of great things are to be expected in two weeks w/the final release.

There do seem to be quite a few things to resolve in the FZ plug-in, and one would expect the same or not more in the main ap and plug-ins. Sounds like many hours of work, so they must be working 24/7....which of course does not lend itself to a bug-free environment :)

I'll sit tight for a couple of weeks...there's not a whole lot more to experiment with until the image clips and transparencies are working. Some of the other quirks here and there are manageable for the time being.

All in all, I do feel that it will be worth the wait.
