The gap between the dome and the emitter objects casing is done on purpose to see the difference in light emitted and light emitted through the dielectric dome.

The objects are set to "display as boxes" as showing them in wire frame would be hell for my pc.
I create one, set "display as box" and instance it to say memory on my pc.
