Well, it' good that I can save my workspace.

It would be MUCH better if changing workspace would not require to select a file, but just to choose an entry in the Layout menu

... actually this is exspecially important as MXST doesn't save the layout between sessions.

I wish it would. And remember the last used directory, too.
