Which plugin is the most important one for you?

As it seems that NextLimit doesn't handle the development of the plugins with the same efforts I would like to know from the actual buyers of Maxwell which plugin they intend to use with the RC (or v1). If you are using more then one application please vote for your most important one to use with Maxwell. I hope this poll gives NextLimit a better understanding in which plugin they should invest more time to develop...

Note: Please do not use this poll asking for other plugins!

I think all the plug-ins could be updated simultaneously, 'cause base export code is already done, NL only have to implement some little changes for new engine. At least i don't think there's something that requires full rewrite of plug-ins.

PS: Max already got Vray, FR, PRMan, etc. I want Maya plug-in!

My vote for C4D, of course.

But NL knows already how much C4D users are here, and how much are intsrested in Maxwell, and how wide is the market for Maxwell within the C4D market, and how well dedicated C4D is to arch previz, which is the best job for Maxwell at the moment... Just look at the number uf posts and topics within the C4D sub-forum of this Maxwell Forum... More than the Maya sub-forum, and more than the Lightwave sub-forum.

So what's goin' on?? Are you crazy at NL? Did you just forget the C4D plug in this RC release, do you just want Final Render (which is perfectly integrated to C4D workflow) to beat you even before the battle???!

Go for it, give us some more power please. You still have a month before the final release...

I'm not voting because people, at the time of purchase, bought Maxwell Render on the understanding that plugins for the popular software packages were available and that other packages would be implemented in the future.

Without such plugins being avialble Next Limit made the transaction under false premise.

All the listed plugins should be given fast attention. Or, customers of problamitic plugins should be offered full refunds.

These sort of divisive Polls do nothing except play right into the hands of Next Limit.

People bought the app' for the promised plugin at time of purchase, they simply just have to fulfill that promise.

I won't vote, then, since I would need a vote for all plugins and platforms sold by NL in the first place.
This sums it up for me for the most part. Also remember some people for whatever reason will not be on the forum or they may miss the thread. It's very unscientific.

I would like to point out that the Rhino user forum for example had a ton of activity some time ago, but when it became clear that Rhinoll wasn't going to get any love, the threads almost completely stopped. These are the type of things this kind of poll will not register.

I just saw this poll and as a Maya user I will just say that even if we are just 5%, I paid for this software like everyone else and I expect a working plugin and a working software very soon or I will persue a refund. A refund for which I will never look back at again.

Sorry to say.

nice to see Rhino rounding out 3rd place

but, unless your using Max , i think most plugs feel like red headed step children.

taking into account all of the delays that Cebas had with FR stage2 had only because of SDK problems with Maxon alone, how can one expect NL to get the above list completed on time?

First, that is Cebas's claim, don't take that as the truth (Maxon sources disapproved).

ANYWAY, despite that they did a GREAT integration that really pushes the envelope of the SDK. This thing is much better inside Cinema than M~R Studio ever will be as a standalone.

What we have with the Maxwell plugin is a *tiny* effort compared to that, and it's NL that is castrating tself by sticking with the 8.5 SDK. There is no sign of much experience with plugin development in the current plugin, and there was no sign of any development during the last months.

To blame that on the Maxon SDK is really pointing in the wrong direction.

Agree on this. Can't confirm on the rest - I'll take your word for it... :)

Prowler, you forgot MicroStation.
Or are you only counting the ones that were already out for Beta?

C'mon guys, where's the XSI plugin?

Everyone know that's the most sought after!

Hi Stonelli,

there are 2 reasons MicroStation is not listed:

1. The MicroStation plugin is currently not available in the download section.

2. The poll options are limited to 10. So I already used the maximum.
