After some brief time of messing about with Maxwell I have a couple of wishes. I know v1.0 is around the corner, but hope some of this might have made it or make a 1.1 release or something. I apologize if I haven't gone far enough back in the forum to see if some or all of these have already been suggested
- Save render information as EXIF data with the image like the digital cameras do.
- Render progress for the viewer to be displayed in the taskbar button, a quick way to check progress.
- A second or selectable progress bar for sample level. I know you can just check in the viewer to see where you are, but a bar might make this easier.
- Right now I put in 999 for the time for render if I want to hit a certain sampling level, any way to deactivate time or force the sampling level? (of course some people 999min may not even be enought to hit a high sample on complex light and geometry) maybe I missed a command line option.?
- I know many people want clouds in the environment, me too, but how about a ground plane with horizion options.
- a method to continue a failed cooperative render when it fails at the combining point.
I am very anxious to see the material editor in V1.0... I hope that there will be the ability to develop patterned materials such as I have used in Flamingo, ie tile and wood planking.
Cheers,
Pete
