I am a Lightwave user and bought Maxwell, now there are rumours that Maxwell development is 90% focused on Max and the other 10% for Lightwave and all the others!
Anyone has some info or thoughts about this?

Hi,
Maxwell development is 90% focused in a standalone version to allow users working in their favourite software. Of course we do not close our developments to only one plattform.
Regards,
Juan

I'd guess it's so simple that the 3dsmax plugin was the first one they made and then it just got further in the developement process than any other plugin since it been around for longer.

I think it depends on how well developed or comprehensive the host app SDK is. Max has kind of become "Plug-in City" and hence, the way has been made for programmers to more easily develop 3rd party apps.
Plug-in integration also depends on how well the developers know the host app. That may be the reason for the query we received awhile back regarding plug-in developers. It's impossible for a company to suddenly become well-versed with 10 or more applications. It takes time.

NL works mainly on the standalone, but max users represent an enormous user base, much more than, let's say, houdini, or archicad...so logically from the get-go the max plug-in got a bit more attention than the others...
