This has been asked before. The answer, should be also the same. I think that everyone would agree with you. But why did you use this kind of lighting all these times? Because you couldn't have a convincing picture without them. Now, with maxwell, I think, light is perfectly interpreted so there should not exist any need for this kind of "fake" lighting.
I haven't experimented much with Maxwell but everything I have done is correct so far, and very close to reality
