A 64bit system and software can adress ram beyond the memorylimitations of a 32bit system and software can do. And no one ever got hurt from having too much ram when doing 3d

For what it's worth and with what little I know about the 32 vs. 64 bit discussion, I would imagine having the Maxwell utilizing the 64 bit processor would facilitate faster renderings.
I'll be purchasing a new PowerMac soon and the G5 chip is 64 bit, so naturally I'd like to take advantage of this. Why have all that darn RAM when you're chip is only running in first gear? It seems to be the direction of chip manufacturing for pro users anyway.
My only worry is that the Next Limit team will lose interest in the PowerPC architecture before Apple's shift to Intel (for all I know it doesn't really affect their coding).
