I wonder if Respower is willing to fork out all that money for a Beta that doesen't have any network ability?

What about the work made by daros and their team? They have an app specifically made for Maxwell customers.

The last time I talked to Respower they told me that they had to write a brand new render manager because for what ever reason Backburner didn't work with their system. I'd suspect that they would have to write a new render manager for Maxwell as well or at least tweak the one it comes with once it's working.

daros has a webpage here at http://www.arkadin.biz/
click on remote matador, it is a speciel render distribution system they built for maxwell.
daros has also given us matador light as a free tool for working with maxwell.

I don't know either what they mean by 1 credit. Perhaps if daros can explain?

I don't think it's a good idea to measure for Maxwell per sample level as that can mean entirely different results depending on the scene.

well, I hope so too..... I would use it right away...

Sorry, i only see now your reply.
For Remote Matador the "credit" definition for Maxwell is following.
320.000 pixels at 18 samples.
That means normally a 8 to 12 hours rendering on a dual xeon 3 Ghz.
On RemoteMatador that means 14 to 16 minutes rendering.
If you buy 75 credits at Arkadin you spend less as 1000$.
at respower:

On RemoteMatador the price dosn't changes if the rendering time is higher or lower. It's always the same.

We give a entire 3D software, not only a rendering farm. We give data redundancy for two years. We give materials a tree libraries. We give a workflow that helps avoid errors.

We don't have full Maxwell compatibility. But you can do rendering like this for 12 euro in 10-15 minutes.

We will put a complete description of rendering times and costs with release 1.0 of Maxwell.

Best regards

Thanks for the explanation Daros! It makes me wonder also why network rendering works so nice for you guys but everybody else is having lots of problems in particular with the merging of files.
