HDR loading in MXI texture

It would be much more convenient if the HDR to MXI conversion would be performed on the fly. In other words: make the MXI texture load HDR files and perform an optional automatic or manual conversion to MXI.

I simply haven't got the time to convert HDR imagery to MXI before I can use my extensive HDR libraries. It takes unnecessary extra space too, having to keep all HDR images as MXI format too.

Cheers,

Metin

I agree on this feature, it would save much trouble having to convert hdri's for every scene and especially if they grow as huge as Jan here tested (450mb). That size is by the way insanely big, i mean you need a supercomputer to be able to use such a hdri map in a rendering :)

Hey Jan! Nice to see you around here. :)

Fellow HDRI-lovers around here, check out Jan's great HDRI-collection:

I much agree, Jan. The dynamism of light, reflections and reflections is unparallelled in Maxwell and will make HDRI imagery come out at its best.
