Anisotropic direction mapping - have a U/V Roughness Direction, and a Roughness Amount slider instead. This way, you can map the direction of the microgrooves, and have an overall slider adjust for the amount of the effect.
Shader map preview quality select (low-res, med-res, high-res)
Environment
Sun position icon
Clicking the Environment Info shelf icon brings up Attribute Editor whether it's already open or not.
General
OpenGL preview of emitter/sun shadows (approximate)
Emitter type for sun in space (parallel rays, infinite distance source)
- Viewer can stay open for multiple test renders.
Save Image
Keep Image - a storage buffer, so you can quickly check past tests.
Mini-Mode - Just a small preview window and/or console so you can have it minimized in a corner, but monitor its progress.
