Hello
the object with invisible material applied always project shadows ; can you make that as option ? or maybe the object can block lights from sun / hdr /sky
( actualy it is useful to render shadow only )

Well, I see an invisible object does not throw shadow, but if you use it to make booleans, the removed part of other object does throw shadow. Is that Shadow the one you are referring to?

where you see the invisible object does not throw shadow ?
the object always throw shadow when using this material
yes if this material will available with to options : shadow ( to render shadow only ) and no shadow ( to use in booleans )

Why do you use such a complicated material? I mean you can use object opacity, layer opacity or ghost material (k=0, nd=1, transmitance = pure white). Any of this three options give you invisibility without shadows. I have to check better the material used in your example to see what happen there anyway.

because i want use it for boolean to create some effects like in cheese but the shadows is the problem
i used the material with these settings

transmitance : pure white
attenuation : 999m
nd:1
k:0
roughness:0
and the object throw the shadow
the opacity yes i used it when i need hide objects or part of an object

If you see the image I posted before, i used a second ball to make boolean of the first one, and the invisible one is not throwing shadow. It's done using object opacity.

that's good thanks but the shadow of the invisible object become visible if they are aligned to the camera
can you confirmed that ?

I'm playing with the ball, moving it, and moving the camera for 2 mins and I'm not able to throw that shadow. How do you that?

I though was other setup completely, I think you forgot to set hidden from global illumination at the invisible object.

thanks it work fine but i think with sss material don't work

and what you mean when you say : It's done using object opacity.?
