Procedural Gradient

I think it would be very very useful to have a procedural gradient tool. Like you have in photoshop, for example.

You could use this tool to create gradients (I think mainly black and white, for matting purposes) not only for texturing but also for matting, mixing, etc.
For example I'm using circular gradient for the floor - a lot … to smoothly vanish the floor .. (especially if it is a reflective floor) and also get rid of typical floor reflection on glossy objects ..
But this gradient tool also could do a great job in .. environment tabs .. Like .. you could do cool lighting effects (and chromatic reflections) right inside Maxwell's environment tab .. so your procedural gradient could be . .say 32 bits and could serve as alternative to HDR .. to light up everything or to get a super clean reflections and refractions :)

Two hands up :)

Cheers.

you can create circular gradient with circle procedural and decrease sharpness in the parameters

Thanks seghier, you're right .. I've checked it out in Maxwell Studio … before that I was only looking into Maya .. and couldn't get it why everyone's talking only about noise and marble when gradient is probably would be mainly used one :)

Anyway, thanks for highlighting it.
