Hello jfrancis,
Do you mean certain aberrations that can be added as a post-process? In that case, this doesn't refer to a geometric rendering lens model.

When that lens starts shipping, which should be soon, there will be a lot of interest in its distinctive effects. Although maybe not so much in CG. So if the lens is easy to code it could be fun to have, but...
