Specific IBL/HDR per Camera

Beeing able to set HDRI for each camera.
Setting up a perfect HDRI for a certain angle of a camera takes time.
Then when changing camera - the HDR should change with it.
example:
Camera01 - light01.hdr (or the whole environment)
Camera02 - light02.hdr
etc.
would be very helpful

Which host software are you using? some hosts allow this functionality.

Eric would C4D be one of those hosts?
This is a really nice sounding function

I use Maxwell Studio.
I thought of using different resolutions on the HDR depending on the camera resolution as well.
I use HDR studio to create HDR´s for each camera...

Hatts, yes in c4d (and probably also in max and maya) you can have multiple maxwell scene objects, with shot specific camera and lights as children of those scene objects. So when one of those scene objects is active, its children are active also.

Cannot believe I didn't think of that
Actually the multiple Scene object thing is something I routinely fail to take advantage of. Anyway thanks, good tip.

Your welcome. This is especially useful for arch-viz projects with multiple backplates.. ie 'view-verifed' projects, esp as they ask for endless updates due to design revisions,... anyway that was my situation when I thought of that workaround.

Yeah, Eric's workflow is very handy. If only we could have different aspect-ratio linked to different cameras within maxwell scene's objects that would be awesome!. Any tricks for that Eric?

I just changed the project settings aspect ratio for each render, and I used those ratios as part of the name of each camera. (I only had two ratios two flip between, portrait and landscape, - all the backplates had been shot with the same camera).

Hi Eric,
Yes, I mean that the aspect ratio is controlled by c4d's project setting, so as far as I know you can't have one camera linked to 800x600 and another one linked to 1920x1200. That thing is the more annoying thing in C4D!, specially when you work in archviz. Do you have a solution for that?

But you manually needed to switch the settings per camera,no? What I thing would be awesome is that we could set camera's aspect ratio within a maxwell scene objects, so that way we could have one maxwell scene object for a 800x600 render an another one for a 1920x1200 render.
Hope that makes sense now,
josé
