some small requests

hi,
some small improvements to fasten workflow:

- OGL sun's shadow preview (like SketchUp does, i.e.). Shadow design is important and usually i spend too much time in finetuning this.
- Resizeable color wheel (or alternative, compact pickers). GUI is already too dense, and color picker takes way too much space.
- Hue controls for textures. Unless i'm not finding it, it's really a must.
- Tonemapping refresh happens very slowly (probably only at SL steps, but i'm not sure). Please put an option to give it priority over rendering, so that it can happen without delays.
- A small GUI bug: Scrolling a rollbar with wheel can cause some values to change; wheel scrolling has "discrete" steps, if you happen to be on a numeric field on one of these stesp, keep rolling may cause this value to change (instead of keep scrolling menu). This sould be fixed, i.e. telling GUI that you can change values with wheel only if you start rolling on that field, and not if you happen to be over there with cursor while scrolling.

bye
Paolo

Won't the IE cover this and MUCH more? :)

Yes this happens only at each SL refresh when rendering. If you want to see it right away you can always stop the render, play with the tonemapping/simulens settings, then resume the render.

Hi,
yes RT will cover this, but OGL preview will be faster and cheaper, it all depends in how complex it's to implement ;)
Regarding stopping, tuning exposure and resuming, it's what i do but it is not efficent, since each time stop rendering some savings are done and it may be very slow.
An option to allow exposure tool's priority over rendering is a more elegant solution imho ;)

Regarding hue control for textures, how does experts do ? Eachtime you have to adjust a texture's color, do you go into PS, tweak, save, load into maxwell and fire a new test ? Isnt there a workaround for this, i.e. placing a multiply color layer onto texture's so you can change hue of that material (i couldnt do it in an efficent way) ?
