Maxwell suggestion: A "PAUSE" button

We currently can "Stop" and re-start via the MXI files. How about a "PAUSE" so that one can stop the current rendering while doing something else and then restart without loading files?
Thanks!

This would be nice. Sometimes during a render my skype will start ringing and freeze up, it would be nice to pause the render to answer it.

Not only a pause but a resume as well.
F-Prime can resume a render in progress, even a sequence can be resumed. It finds the frame and resumes the render.
Although you guys are probably already on that.

aombk wrote:i use "process explorer" by sysinternals (its free) as an alternative of windows task manager and i can suspend/resume any process, so this can do the job i guess.... this maybe works in windows task manager too by adjusting the priority of mxcl.exe....
Very good Idea

Thanks

Even a simple pause and resume button would be a big help...
