Just wondering if ML can handle various emitters and environment would the option be possible to allow one render to run with multiple suns so one can choose there preferred sun angle post processing with ML on/off options?

This is a great idea, esp. with Multilight. It would be possible to animate the arc of the sun perfectly, accurately ... WOW

Richard,
I kept thinking about this and realized just how powerful it could be.
If you used the existing info about long, lat, date and left the hour to "multi" then MXL could calculate the arc of the sun over the day, from sunrise to sunset. It could then make 1, 2, (or more, depending on chosen resolution) "mSun" per hour - ie., a max of 24 (?) (at the poles) "mSuns". This could potentially be easily integrated into JD's new plugin framework as well of course into Studio with a simple UI addition.
Using Multilight, you could then have a slider with the hour. It would allow easy animation of the true and accurate penetration of the sun in a specific room or space, pushing sun studies to another level of accuracy and ease.
If this were joined somehow with the renderstamp suggestion posted as another thread on Wish List, then one could have a stamp which shows (either in EXIF and/or as an imprint on the rendering) the exact time and optionally location.

Certainly I guess this could be done via a sphere map with an MXI file and rotated or even set with the sun tools ruby! I guess crude but still a work around!

Hi Richard -
Yes, I saw your post with this same solution on Pushpullbar. Would be so cool....!
but a pain in the a** as you so delicately but it.
We need a ruby expert/or they should just make it a "feature" - I imagine it should be in the realm of the possible.
Where are the NL meisters? Would love to know if there is any interest in this idea from their side....
(hint ... hint ... !)
