a material wizard able to add material layer

no if i use the material wizard for a layer, for instance for ags glass, and i add a new layer, for instance, gold, i cannot use the wizard for this operation because using wizard for gold would erase the previous layer... would be nice if i could add as many layer i want using the wizard fot that... the same is true for the materials from gallery.. if we could add them in as a many layer we like, that would be time saving
