Hello!
In a typical object render workflow I model an object and place it on a background plane. Currently it's not possible to assign both matte and shadow flags on the background material, we have to render in two passes now. Correct me if I am wrong.
Wishes:
1. Make it possible to catch shadows on matte object
2. Colored shadows channel (to catch reflexes)
3. A switch to hide all geometry from camera when rendering shadow channel (analog of Photoshop's "Layer knocks out drop shadow" - OFF). Currently an object that's casting shadows is knocking out shadow that causes a white halo on hires compositions. Now I use a script that switches on "hidden from camera" on all meshes when rendering shadow channel.
