I would like to request a tool that lets use click on the point to Focus To, but also then choose a point in the scene form there to be the Depth of field point..

at the least give us mouse over feedback some place saw we move our mouse around the scene to say how far it is from the camera to that point, all the time. (I have not found this if it does already.)

the Red Blue recital focus thing is to gimmicky, and not very helpful, unless I move the camera around to see how it changes. yet I often don't want to move the camera. How can we just get a full frame version of this?

"point and click" DOF focal point selection sounds like a very nice idea. it's been implemented into Octane Render (a new "unbiased" "realtime" engine) and looks very handy indeed.
