uvw layout and painting abilities in mxstudio

would be cool if it were possible to generate uvw layouts inside mxstudio (I am using ArchiCAD and there it is still impossible to do that

)
......and than to paint the model (like bodypaint or zbrush) would be amazing

I'll disagree. There are excellent programs available for that. Personally, I don't want critical development time spent on implementing these types of features, when they could be working on new rendering features and optimizations. Just my opinion though.

hmm.. i agree with Bubba.. on the other hand, i guess they could hire more staff

and let them work on uv & paint stuff.. but the situation is kind of difficult, because not everyone uses studio but plugIns (like me) ...kwim
i just started to use 3dcoat v3 a few day ago... and although still young and a little buggy it is a great application with amazing capabilities.. propably far more than i'll ever need for my needs (mainly painting color details and displacement)
and it is cheap. (200$)
