Network Render Modes

I'd like to see a network render mode where each Server downloads the scene and textures, then only uploads the MXI at the end of the render rather than after each sample level. This would speed up the early sampling levels of rendering where the fast machines spend more time sending MXIs than they do advancing sample levels.
Oh...and FASTER DISPLACEMENT!!!

Each node only writes the mxi to it's local hard drive (temp folder) at each update. Only at the end do they merge and write the finished mxi to the destination you chose.

Are you thinking of co-op mode?
In non-coop (animation) on each server, after a new SL is reached the processor usage drops to zero while the outgoing network traffic spikes for a minute or two. Internal drive data rates stay pretty constant. It's sending something to somewhere.

Oh, yes I was thinking co-op.

I agree
a switch to disable MXI write during render whould be helpfull
even if we risk the loose of data on render error it whuld be very helpfull speeding up the render
