If Maxwell had an option, only to render grayscale pictures, would it speed up the rendering..? I dont know anything about programming, but it must be less data to calculate...

If so, it would be very useful if the endresult anyway will be converted to grayscale, or to test the overall lightening of the scene.

Using this, could simulate Black and white photos...

Surely applying a simple diffuse ( grey ) material to everything in your scene and rendering this out is as far too simple to be worrying about implementing another cluttering feature ???
