Voxelization Cache

hey, it would be a nice idea if Maxwell could store the voxelization, because, if the scene remains the same, it hasn't to recompute it and save render time...

in theory, this already works. but ike so many things, it doesn't on Cienamaxwell / Max AFAIK.

is there a command line switch to enable it? Rhino plugin can pass options to the renderer so it can be used there...

I doubt that Rhino can pass parameters that M~R can handle. Voxelisation is an internal process and for shure specific to M~R, there's not too much to submit from the outside ;-)

*bump*...from a Rhino user...

On the other hand:

To do this, M~R would only need a 'usePreviousVoxelModel' command-line switch, and the ability (if it doesn't already have it) to salvage the previous model from the .mxs. Grab the model, apply the new materials...render!

This would be *wonderful*
