Geometry editing

NL,
I would like to suggest the following improvements in the geometry editing area:

1-It would be great if we can apply transformations to objects' sub levels such as faces, edges and vertices for basic editing purposes.

2-Triangular, or quad meshing density tools to increase smoothness of objects if needed.

3- Snaps, to move geometries, lights, and cameras.

Thanks.

Welcome to the forum....
This has been asked and discussed before, from the early days of MXST... The problem is that if NL starts transforming MXST to a modeling app, then we 'll never stop asking for features.... I prefer Maxwell to stay a rendering app and there are many modelers out there to choose from.
The snap option would be great though...

Hi JBT,Thanks. I understand the concern of integrating modeling tools that MXS will change their direction. But in general, now we can scale, move, rotate objects. so, I hoping for being able to do that at objects sub levels. Many times you are in maxwell studio, and find an anomaly, like a gap in a window panel, or a en edge that was supposed to be 2" to the left to close a gap in a wall, etc. In such situation, going to back to your modeler application, re-generate a maxwell solution, well.. i know can be done, but it could be much easier to edit it right in MXS. I am not asking for modeling tools per say such as extrusions, sweeps, booleans, etc. Only stretching geometry :)

I'll have to agree here. I already think NL spends too much time on Studio. 8) I bought a render engine.
