Automatic exposure for time and aperture

Why not a time automatic and an aperture automatic?

For example I like to get less DOF blur, so I must calculate in my head, if I change the aperture, than I must ... . I would like to set a flag "fix brightness" and than I could change one of the two parameters and the other parameter jump to the right value per automatic.

Because time controls motion blur and aperture controls DOF. To set them for a correct exposure you have to render the image first, which makes this pointless. I guess the only thing that could be set afterwards would be the ISO setting - which controls the mapping of energy and image brightness.

Good, the user could enable "automatic ISO" and if the user change the aperture or the shutter speed, the ISO change per automatic. Seems to be useful. This kind of control could be programmed in the interface and not in the Maxwell engine or?
