Betatesters tests & renderings on the forum please

I would like it if the whole betatester team would be given the freedom to repost any testrenders they produce using the latest betareleases even before they are released to the public. This would give us normal users a better insight into what things are being worked on and what we can expect when it's released to us, it also helps keeping the forum from drying out and it keeps us on edge as we can discuss what we see amongst ourselves.
Ofcourse the betatesters themselves still have to keep silent about some stuff but a bit more relaxed attitude here with flexibility from the team would still be appreciated by many of us.
Now i can understand this is something that NL don't wanna do, but try to see it from our point of view as users. We have to sit here and try to keep the spirit up for months between releases. These little bits and pieces of 'candy' the betatesters would post from time to time would keep the interest up amongst all of us. Then if you NL were smart you could take the advantage of us and utilize the feedback and comments we give here on the forum and include that in your developement. It would be as if you had a beta team consisting of thousands of users instead of 10-20 of them like it is now (i guess). Think of the possibilities!

I can't speak for NL, but can't you see the problems that could arise from this?
For example:
A beta tester posts a render showing off a feature in developement.
People get excited.
The feature's bugs aren't worked out in time for the release. (It happens)
The new release doesn't include the sparkly new feature because it wasn't ready, but there were so many other improvements, NL decided it was time to release.
Many people are very angry...
"You promised us! You lied to us! You HATE your customers!!!
So you see, it's not too great of an idea from their perspective.

I hate to admit it, but that's a decent point.

I'm well aware of those things you said Bubba, but i think that can be controlled with a set of rules which define this very well and so situations like that can be better controlled and avoided. But no matter what, there will always be someone (perhaps you Bubba) who cries out loud when they see something which been tested, shown and then not included. That's unfortunately unavoidable..
I still think this would benefit both them and us, it would open up for a much more relaxed and smoother cooperation between users and betatesters and the developers themselves. At the moment the atmosphere feels to rigid..
Now i know the competition reads this forum quite often and ofcourse they would see what's coming, but that i don't think it is a concern, it's nothing to worry about.

...or maybe a thread where only the NL team where allowed to post selected renderings from the beta forum?
I agree with Bubbaloo about the problems with the stuff thats not fully tested.
...And remember there are also some Fry users/testers here (spying... not to be trusted)
