On/Off Low Priority

Don't know if you can do this already but it would be useful to be able to turn on and off low priority when rendering to maximise speed when you aren't usng the computer for other stuff.

right click on process:

this works with all processes, except they are locked (like firewalls, virus scanners, system kernel, etc..).. and never put it to "echtzeit"(realtime) although it seems tempting :wink:

The speed is maximized when you're not using the computer even with Low Priority on. I always set it to low priority.

thanks for the tip Polynurb!!! (though it was about mxcl.exe hehe)

I was used to untick cpu0 for mxcl, but was not sure if it was "good" for the comp or softs

Mihai that doesnt seem to happen with me - if I set it to low priority its much slower. Or maybe I just had the number of threads set low - i'll have to test it out again.

letting 2 renders work tonight, i tried to set the more important one at High priority... ouch... 20 minutes almost of freezing :lol:
