and an other wish...

a few days ago i had the wish to be able to reference an object, in this case a tree with 2.5 million polygons for instancing, outside of studio, so it would not appear in studio and slow down other work in the scene or fill up RAM.

as an object is imported into studio, an open dialog would be handy to reference this object as a part of the scene, but only be represented as bounding box. then at rendertime, this object and it's instances would be rendered normal.

Would be nice for thoses that use studio a lot.
I use it in Max all the time while working in the viewport.
It would also be nice if I could render from the plug-in and Maxwell would pick up these external files, but now I am changing the subject...

Yes, this would be a way to accomplish the same thing that I was thinking. A simple way to include an mxs would give the flexibility to do it at render time via Studio or the plugins. It could be a command line option like in Renderman.
