network rendering, adding job, resetting settings

I work on a slower pc than I render on here and I usually tweak the MXS file a few times and render it on the faster pc, but every time I re-add the job, the settings (like resolution) are the same from the previous time, even though the file has changed.
It would be good to include a refresh or reload button so that I can simply update the settings without having to restart maxwell render itself so that the settings are empty again.

Hi, the settings are saved in the mxs file, not in the network manager/mxcl network 'add job' dialogue.

You have to load another mxs then reload the one you want to render, otherwise the file paths, resolution and camera choice, will remain as before.

Tim.

Well, afaik the dialog does keep the settings the same, because I add an mxs file as a job, I finish rendering it, I remove the job from the list, then go back to my 3d program, change settings, write a new mxs with the same name, then go back to maxwell render, chose add job, select the .mxs and the settings remain the same as they were with the old file, not as they are in the new file... don't tell me this can't be fixed with a simple button that re-reads the settings in the actual file. :? :?:

I don't always have another .mxs file to write and I don't feel like restarting maxwell render everytime I change something in the mxs file, this seems like something that can be fixed real easy and would fix something that is quite annoying.

I was having the same problem you were before I figured out what was going on. For what ever reason the plug-in for Maxwell won't record any setting changes you make to resolution, time or SL unless you render it before exporting. If you don't render and then export you will just wind up with the previous settings.

Yes, this is an annoying bug that has been around for a while. I have to create multiple MXS files such as File_a.mxs and then File_b.mxs etc, so that I don't run into this issue.

please fix this.
