please...Please...PLEASE
I know at one time a Vue plugin was planned but I haven't heard anything about it since the Beta days. The power of Vue is how many poly's it can handle and if there were some way to use that power with Maxwells lighting that would be amazing!

It would be very cool but i don't think it's gonna happen because Vue is a bit special with it's gazillions of instances it can handle and it's materialsystem and much more which isn't quite compatible with Maxwell's core.
Check the thread in the C4D section where attempts been done to merge Vue with Maxwell.

Well, actually the programs themselves that work via Xstream with Vue could not handle such a huge polycount. I do not know almost anything of this technical matter, but i guessed (hoped) it could be possible....

I have a successful integration render, I will post it once I get it to where I want it. I am happy to say that merging output from Vue and Maxwell can be done very well.

I came to a point where the vue sun didn't even match the vue shadows anymore and quit. Most irritating...
If you get a good workflow i'd be very interested in that.

Structure rendered in Maxwell Render.
Grass rendered in Vue Xstream 6.5.

But this is a compositing....and you have no reflections, nor need of interaction between the structure and the environment...(quite nice, btw!)

There is interaction, the grass actually wraps around the structure.
I rendered the structure in Vue as well as Maxwell Render to get interaction wtih the grass scene.
In this example no reflection, but that could be done with a reflection map in Maxwell Render if needed.

Yes please! I bought Maxwell partially because it offered a Vue plugin promise!!
Maxer,
Vue can do that kind of grass/plant life npb, it's it's speciality
