I am just downloading the 1500 files from the material exchange, but now I have a problem...

How am I ever going to arrange these materials and successfully find them once they are on my computer??

I just had an amazing idea that would integrate the material exchange web site with the material browser to find files on the exchange website and also on my system.

Can you imagine having the the search data base downloaded from the material exchange website and having a download manager also incorporated into this application? What if it the upload manager let you know what files where new and you could choose to upload them automaticaly or upload materials on demand.

This would be awesome!

Can't wait till ya build it.

Regards,

Yes - a system that allows us to search for a material on our HDs or web that uses the Tags etc that people have alreadt assigned to the materials on the MXM website. If the info is there , it should be used more that once.

At the moment I try place the downloaded materials ito folders that sort of make sense to me, but I know that when I am doing a project in 5 months time I'lll have forgotten where I filed it.

As internet speeds increase, the MXM site can be the repository for the creator's latest ( and best) version, and then users can saved tweaked ones to their own Hds, knowing that if they screw it up, there is always the read only version available on the web.

The MXM site intergrated ito the Mat editor (Browser TAB) would be great.
