Network: Maxwell Render’s networking option has been vastly improved and optimized, making it more stable and faster, with the possibility for users to see a coop preview image, a preview image of each node and to select machines by name or IP.

Yes, you can select which node to preview and also get a coop preview of all the nodes.

No, this feature has nothing to do with Studio, it's all about MXCL and it works as described in manual page 119.
Here's a video tutorial also covering the usage of cooperative preview:
