matte/shadow map

I miss matte/shadow map , i hope to be soon available for photorealistic images

yeah, this is missing ...

actually, the shadows are «always correct» when rendering with maxwell, but for post-work it would be really useful !

As I am a beginner to rendering, can someone explain what it does and why it is so important?

it's for final render, but the workflow stays the same for every renderer and it's post work.

I've never used that, but seeing the demo this is something that would really be useful.

is it me, or the available maps don't match the render, i mean when i use alpha maps for sky, it's always a pb.
I'd like to have reflection maps too, is it possible for Maxwell?
