Wish Poll:: Want network render from within native 3dapp?

Hi forum

This topic is about workflow, network rendering workflow that is.
The question is if you are interested in having this feature (wishing for it)
to be on a future maxwell update.

So, I'm wondering if there is an interest, a community feature wish in
Maxwell to Network Render directly from within your favorite 3d
application like Max, Maya etc?

Describing the Current workflow that I use (perhaps not the most ideal one)
Today, you need to first export the MXS file (with Pack ang Go feature to be safe)
to the specific network share folders or network drive. Start Maxwell render
(MXCL -d) and open MXS file, set the parameters and choose servers and more
parameters to handle yet again (this will not be saved and needs to be set every time).
Press render and hope for the best.

How about not doing this? Maxwell is NOT about parameters settings.
If I would want to set parameters I would go Vray or other parameter frenzy rendering software. =)

Remember, "it's easy as taking a photo". I really feel that Maxwell is that
today on every feature it got. Even the installation and licensing procedure is easy! Good job there Next Limit!
But, the network rendering feature has to be looked at!

The question is, is there an higher degree of interest to net render directly
within your 3d application Or in other words, make it easier, faster with a
wonderful (technically automatic) workflow? (press a button and say click?)

I've read somewhere that the Maxwell 1.2 will come with additional
network features, like a visual update while rendering..?
Perhaps better workflow as well?

----
I apologize for the long post
And btw, about the installation and licensing of Maxwell, please keep it! Do not mess it up Dongles like others do.

I'm all for integration and simplification, network rendering hasn’t been touched in a long time and it's really the only part of Maxwell that isn't available inside the plugin. Along with this they need to increase the reliability of the manager and make it able to recover servers that stop responding. It should also be able to assign cooperative rendering jobs or network rendering frames to servers that are functioning correctly. To be hones I would prefer to be able to use Back Burner as my network rendering manager, it can already do all of these things and more.

Yes, that would be great.

I am rendering mostly over the network these days. My workstation is a dog but we have a pretty good machine on the network that does all my rendering.

The workflow is not bad and I have gotten used to it but it would be nice to render directly out of C4D to the network.

I like this idea. I'm one of those lazy guys who, when it's time to render, just want's to press one button. I'm not really into that having to run other programs, selecting jobs, yada yada.....

In fact, I just tried running an animation job using the network render, but the manager couldn't "find" the other computers on the network - not even the computer the manager was running on.

I'm all for a caveman style network rendering system.

frankly imo is not a priority.... network render work enough for me... it just ask for a little refinement.... i whish Lw plugin were stable as network rendering....
... think that even me can get it working :D ...so must not be that difficult...
