JPEG2000 Support

Hi Tom,

Yes, the lossless JPG2000 takes much less space than LZW compressed tiff (or a compressed tga).

The lossless JPG2000 also takes less space than a regular JPG with low compression (comp=1).

It is a good way to store images. I too convert the TGA to JPG2000 to save space :D

Thomas, nice to see at least one people here support this :)
JPEG2000 is around for a long time and our machines are now powerful enough to encode/decode it, so I don't understand why this is not enough popular yet...

Sounds like a nice format, I never gave it much attention but I will now :)
