material system in cinema 4d

Sorry guys, but why is it that you fully integrate the maxwell material system into 3d studio whereas in cinema 4d a lot of the matarial features are not accessable.
Could'nt you just implement fully functional maxwell materials just as seperate shaders?
A function to translate existing cinema matarials inthe scene into those native maxwell materials would be handy, too.
I doubt that you will ever take this hint into consideration, but still wanted to poit this one out.
Its just unhandy to deal with two fifferent material setting systems when using maxell. There should be only one supporting full functionality.

yes actually that would be great...

at least a material with full mxm functionality like in maya.

Thanks lichtwerk for bringing up the issue. At the moment, you can use the standalone material editor for Maxwell Render and build custom MXM to use in Cinema 4D to get the more advanced material features.
