Light baking Pleeeeeaassseee

Please, may we have light baking functionality. There really and truly is no end to its application in real-time visualisation!

Light and shadows can be baked through textures in 3dsmax and Maya by default. I'm sure most of the other applications support texture baking too.

but no application does it good and right. it heavily depends on your uvw coordinates.

would be great to have some time though. but thats not a trivial featureto implement i guess.

What could the funcionality of maxwell possibly have to do with getting your uv coordinates right? Do you not think having the feature in the first place is immediately more pressing?

I agreee. Texture baking would be of great use - have also heard it requested by collegues.
