it would be great for those who mainly work in the plugin to be able to pack and go a project to be able to move it or to archive it.
thanks

hi there, you can make this saving your mxs file, open it in studio and use the pack and go there. Not the more intuitive way but work.

If I underatood correctly the reason of creating the Maxwell studio, those who mainly work in the plugin should start learning and being comforable with studio too...My opinion is that soon the plugins will be just exporters.
I hope I'm wrong, because I too prefer to use the plugins.

studio can be very slow with opening files. also i am not sure if i then have a pluginfile that really finsa all its textures.
and beside that for beeing a professional app, it would be handy for the workfow.
i will test...
cheers

Hi JTB,
That's not correct

, the plugins won't be just exporters, but we look for the best integration as you will see in next updates. Of couse Studio will be further enhanced too, our goal is that you can choose the workflow you like most.

Juan

That made me laugh so hard. I know Juan isn't being mean, but I'm just so used to America (never lived anywhere else) where anybody with a company can't ever tell a customer they are wrong. It's always "that's not correct" or "I believe you are mistaken." Bluntness is great.

Haha. Good news all around then
I tell you what I think would be a nice addition to the pack and go thing - an option that redefines the image paths.
eg. Say that I use pack and go to save my scene to a folder on a different drive. With this option checked I wouldn't have the "image not found" errors when loading the scene, and then have to scour the depths of my comp for the files, as the materials would already be using the new updated texture paths.
Am I wrong? Somebody tell me
Cheers,
Dr Merman
