global material override

I think it would be nice to have a global material override option for testing purposes: this would give a very straight forward option to test scenes and translate from other engines, for clay lighting tests or quick error tracking checks, giving the possibility to easily revert back the scene. I am thinking about it both for studio and plugins.
I hope it does make sense. :P

Yes, would be usefull. Why not with a user defined material and "render all with default material", "exclude emitters" checkboxes?
The current "ignore maps" can already save some CPU/memory, but just plain mat material maybe would be faster.
