how would like LW plugin to be....

1) all textures must be assigned in color channel of lw material ( lets forget any corrispondance between lw material and mxm, just use the latter as in 3dmax plugin..)
2) any layer of color channel corrispondes to a projector: layer 1 to projector 1, layer 2 to p.. 2 and so on...
what do u think lw users?

i think that LW material corresponding to mxm is a great feature for animation, but with the system of layer you ask for it would work, so why not....

Why can't we have the best of both worlds: correspondance (that may help simplifying retexturing of scenes that you have to render in LW) and layers. Every layer in normal blending mode should be added to mxm according its opacity, any layer in alpha mode should be used as a weight map for the next layer.
As for projection names, that's one of the few thing I hate with Maxwell: I hope that some day we can assign names to the projectors, with plugin taking the names from main 3D app.

this latter feature is essential in lw, which mapping system differs very much from 3dmax ( application i come from)

anyway i would like to point out the semplicity of my proposal.. the advantage of it would be that if u have all the textures on the color channell u could easily check if the mapping of a texture is ok escluding temporarily all the other textures from visible layer of color channell... unfortunately there is not fully corrispondancw among parametre of lw material and mxm so try to achieve this corrispondance will always result in a failure IMO unless u established a fake one ...
